Dr. Jessica Brennan takes a personalized and holistic approach to psychotherapy. As both a licensed clinical psychologist and certified yoga teacher, she incorporates the needs of the mind, body and emotional self into treatment. Dr. Brennan works with clients to help them identify personal goals, increase insight into problematic behaviors and establish balanced coping skills. She provides support and strategies to increase overall happiness, productivity and life satisfaction.

 

Dr. Brennan’s treatment approach is based in behavioral science, cognitive psychology and mindfulness. She utilizes successful treatment plans, drawn from evidence-based practices. Evidence-based practice integrates clinical expertise with the best available research-based treatments. She also incorporates her clients’ values into their personalized treatment and care.

​​​​​​​​​​​Dr. Brennan specializes in helping individuals build positive relationships - both with one's mind and body, and with others. She encourages personal awareness and acceptance to create positive change. She also provides education on behavioral skills to create healthy habits, increase self-care and establish life balance.

In addition, Dr. Brennan utilizes Relational Therapy, which focuses on the dynamic between individuals and their connections with others. This method supports clients seeking to understand and improve their relationships, promote emotional well-being, and foster personal growth. 

 

Relational Therapy views the client therapist relationship as a microcosm of the client's other relationships. Within the therapeutic relationship, there is an opportunity to explore and develop new relational patterns. As such, Dr. Brennan works to provide a warm, safe, and communicative environment for each of her clients. She emphasizes being present in the shared space with clients and uses openness and humor as opportunities for collaboration and connection.
